Let’s keep building this amazing community of magic together!
We made it! This month’s downloadable pack marks a full year of deepening our relationships with Magic.
As we’ve moved around the wheel of the houses this year, each month we focused on a different aspect of our relationship with Magic. We began by coming to understand our identity. Through the rituals and practices that month, we asked ourselves: Who am I in this relationship with Magic?
Then we explored the resources available to us as we cultivate our relationships with Magic and asked: what are my allies in this relationship with Magic?
Next we took a deep dive into our own metacognition around Magic: what do I truly think about Magic and how can I utilize my mental energy to enhance this relationship?
Then we began to shift our focus in this relationship with Magic from the self onto the environment. We looked at how we relate with Magic in the home and then how our relationship with Magic can bring joy into our lives.
The sixth month was all about maintenance: coming to know, and then committing to, doing what is needed to maintain a healthy relationship with Magic and our allies.
Beginning in the seventh month, we shifted our focus again towards the ways our relationship with Magic influences the greater experiences in our lives. We explored the ways Magic can support and enhance our partnerships. In month eight, we dove deep into the shadows with Magic and then spent month nine looking at how our relationship with Magic brings meaning to our lives.
In the final three months, our attention shifted again to the greater collective, to what is beyond the self. In month ten, this looked like turning our focus onto how we can give back to and support Magic, while month eleven explored Magic and community.
If you have jumped in fully to each of these, then so far you’ve:
Done 11 card spreads
Made 11 amulets
Engaged in 64 activities/exercises
Participated in 65 rituals
Explored 176 journal prompts
Recorded 44 weeks of dream guidance.
Whew!
And now we’ve reached our final month on this journey of downloadable packs: Magic and the Depths. We’ve come full circle. As we began with getting clear on the self and our identity in our relationship with Magic, this month, we journey into the depths and explore the dissolution of the self.
My hope this month is that we come to see through the self into the ways we are a collective and in connected relationship with all, especially Magic.
This isn’t about any belief that the ego, or individual self, is bad and needs to be transcended. It’s about dissolving our opacity, our rigid boundaries, our stuck patterns and anything that could be an obstacle to us being Magic’s true companion. After all, the goal of this year’s downloadable packs is all about coming into right relationship with Magic (however we might define it), rather than coming from a place of domination.
When we go into the depths with Magic, we start afresh with a renewed focus. This allows us to approach Magic with a clean slate and revitalize our connection. Here, we foster an even stronger bond.
The overall process this month will be along the lines of rehearsing death, much as was practiced in many ancient traditions. We have a tendency to be a death-phobic or at least death-avoidant society so the rituals this month may bring up a little tension. That’s okay. Truthfully, we’re always in a bit of a state of tension with something. If it’s just a little tension, I encourage you to take the plunge with this month’s rituals. However, if you’re already going through a rough patch in life, be sure to practice self-kindness and maybe set this month’s rituals aside for now. Magic will be waiting when you feel ready.
Similar to the month of relating with our shadow, this month’s downloadable pack is meant to be done in order, as sort of one month-long ritual.
Week one: We start with a Lughnasadh celebration, then begin the month in earnest by preparing for our dissolution through rituals to clarify our intentions and release our blocks.
Week two: We dissolve and offer our entire personal identities.
Week three: We explore ritual ways of support and acceptance during this time.
Week four: We allow ourselves to be remade as Magic’s true companion.
As always, if you have any questions or comments, please leave them below, send me a DM, or reply to this email. I can’t wait to explore Magic and the Depths with you! 🤗✨
(In case you’ve missed any, you can find all of the downloadable packs here.)
Amazing this month, and so on point to the energy right now!
Hi Jenna! I'm new to this beautiful offering. What would you recommend? Is it still worthwhile jumping in at the end of this process, or should I work through the packs from the beginning out of sync with the year, or wait for a new cycle? Thank you!
