I’m a bit late Jenna, mainly because I’m finding it difficult to string full sentences together in this energy, so it might be short and sweet! 🤪 I know I avoid the idea of pleasure as something bad and some thing that I’ve probably always struggled with. I find it easier to make small compromises. A nice sandwich, my favourite sweets, that kind of thing. Something to work on. 💫🙏

I'm right there with you in this strange energy this week. It's been nuts! The small pleasures are what I've been trying focus on this week after noticing my tendency to think pleasure needs to be a big thing or take a considerable amount of time. Yesterday and today, I've scheduled five minutes every two hours for engaging in a small pleasure. It's been an interesting mix of enjoyable and feeling like it's one more thing to do. 😁

Jenna,

You have a true gift for threading the symbolic through the weave of our day to day. I love how the Queen of Swords shows up here to give a fierce little nudge to enjoy life, let it please us (please--pleasure). If we were not so afraid of pleasure, it might come out of hiding (shadow) and give new meaning to our lives. I appreciate the reminder. Thank you.

I really like your questions, such as do we understand our underlying motives for the choices we make. I find these choices can be small, but it's our experience that mirrors these motives, if we pay attention.

I agree completely! Getting clear on our motives is one of the most potent forms of clarity there is. Thank you!

I've had to work on this one! I am adjusting my understanding to realize that I actually have a RESPONSIBILITY to enjoy my life (in every moment if I could get to THAT level of practice!) When I consciously focus on en-joying (infusing with joy) my moments/my existence, I also am finding that I relate more deeply with all sentience, and that's enjoyable.

Yes! ♥️♥️♥️ I love thinking about the word en-joying like that. I also see it as bringing joy into my body, which really does illuminate our interconnectedness and relationship with all life. And I agree that we have a responsibility to enjoy life! I find responsibility to be empowering. The ability to respond. It gives us a power of choice in the moment rather than waiting for circumstances to bring us joy. Thank you SO much for commenting! 🤗🤗🤗
