I am enchanted by your tying the seasons and 'endings' with the cyclical nature of metabolism. It fulfills the image of an arc, that before a next breath/meal/mouthful, there must needs be an exhale/elimination/swallow.
Thank you so much, Renee! It really is a cycle. It's not a linear thing of beginning towards ending, then beginning again. But the rhythm of cycle includes it all. I'm brought again to the image of torus (which is among my favorite things to envision). ❤️
This is so good. It reminds me of “The Action Cycle” in psychology. You always end with celebration and rest. I love that. Something we desperately need in our society.
Ooooh, ending with celebration and rest...I love that too! I so agree, we desperately need it in our society. We need to let go of outdated achievement-focused ideals and always pushing through to the next "doing". Thank you so much for that insight, Catherine! ❤️ This reminds me of a decolonization class I took once where the keynote speaker came on (it was a zoom-based class) and he sort of stumbled on his words once then sheepishly confessed that he had a bad migraine. The moderator immediately interrupted him and said she wanted to put into practice the wisdom they'd all been teaching and she told him to go lie down, to prioritize taking care of what his body needed instead of pushing through. It was so amazing! I'd never before seen anything like it. Most of us in attendance had paid money specifically to see this speaker yet everyone was in full support of his care. Truly a magical moment and such a beautiful model for societal changes. Instead of his talk, the moderators played this video and we all sang along: https://youtu.be/LuRpkRkNoLc?si=mVjlOBcW4r_PHuHd
I must admit, regarding digestion I do love eating more than eliminating. But there are times I am more present with the release. There is a sense of ecstasy and pleasure within the body that is quite wonderful. Yes endings and beginnings... Every moment an opportunity to inhale and exhale... to honor the cycles. So potent at this time! Thanks again Jenna - Blessed Mabon! ❤
I really like your call here to be present...with both the input and the output. Specifically in terms of digestion, I don't think I tend to present with either. Sometimes I eat mindfully, but if I'm being honest, usually I don't. There's often lots of reading involved in either end of the cycle. I'm going to answer your call here today and be present! 💖
Hi Christine! So great to hear from you! ❤️🤗 I'm so glad this ritual spoke to you. And I'm excited to hear that much newness is entering your life! Sending you blessings that the new things seamlessly integrate the old; that are filled with magic and bliss. 🙏
There is definitely a sense of big endings for big beginnings Jenna! It can be so tempting to rush into the next thing without taking the time to pause, to breathe, to reflect on all that has occurred. Thank you for giving me permission to celebrate all that has passes. Blessings. 💫💕
Thank you so much, Louise! I love that you bring the idea of celebrating to this. Endings don't have to always be about mourning and loss. Celebration is a great way to honor them. Thank you for that wisdom! 💖🙏💖
Thanks, friend! I just finished reading your Death post and couldn't believe the timing of that one with this one. Something in the morphic resonance field for sure. 💖
Hi Jenna, I cannot tell you how much I love a good chuckle with some writing - thank you for this: "Realistically, for most of us anyway, pooping is less fun than eating." 😂 Although there is always a certain satisfaction in the elimination process too🤣🤣🤣
But in all sincerity, I love this post and thank you for the ritual to honor endings - it's actually very timely for me right now!❤️🙏🕊️

That’s so cool. As the Nap Ministry Guru Tricia Hersey would say, Rest is Resistance…and a part of our decolonizing healing.

So feeling this Jenna! As so much newness has been entering my life, I’ve decided to give myself the space to honor the endings of what was 💜

This is such a gentle soft post...a reminder that endings are so important, sometimes more important, for without and end how can we begin.
I do so appreciate your analogy of our digestive system...without eliminating, how can we eat more, be nourished more, digest more...
Bless you dear one. Happy Mabon to you as one season ends and other begins. 🍁🌸🍃
Thank you, Sam! 🤗💖 And happy, happy Ostara to you!
Living this so much right now. Blessings, Jenna. See you on Saturday :)

Things are lining up, it’s crazy. I feel like I am riding a wave to destination unknown. But it feels right.

😂 Yes! Elimination and satisfaction do tend to go together! Lol.
