As I’ve come back to comment the first thing that comes to mind is avoiding how bright the light is. Not wanting to face up to our own brilliance because we’ve spent so long in the shadows. A gentle coaxing is required. The connection to the stars is strong right now and we have all the support we need to be the brightest star.
Oh my goodness, I'm just realizing how much this pairing relates with your post on the Quantum Leap! ❤️❤️❤️ We are each so profoundly supported and can feel free to shine.
So, so true! I just finished April's downloadable pack (that comes out tomorrow), which is about shadow work and in it I discuss the fact that our brilliance (our gifts/talents as well as our unbridled joy) is relegated to the shadows just as often as our so-called negative traits and wounding. I wonder (❤️) if there is an underlying fear of rejection or not belonging in this. Or maybe an aversion to responsibility. Ooooh, much to ponder here.
I have not yet opened the April pack. I am now looking even more forward to doing so! I want to echo your words about our gifts/talents and unbridled joy being relegated to the shadows just as often as our so-called negative traits and wounding. Such resounding head nodding over here!
Which of course brings to mind that fab Marianne Williamson quote, "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
❤️✨❤️✨ Thank you, Camilla! I love this one! This part especially hit me today: "We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us." Beautiful.
OMG Jenna, I love the timing of Starborn with me reading The Invisible Garment!!!
lol, I love your word peacocking too😂and LOVE: "By no longer hiding what lights us up, may we each serve as an example to guide others to their own inner longing." Amen sistah✨🌟💖🙏🕊️
Yes! I hadn't thought of how much this relates with The Invisible Garment, but it's perfect! Thank you so much! I was just replying to a comment below about wondering on the practical ways to shine and The Invisible Garment is such a great tool. I'm going to revisit that comment and mention it. We really should have become affiliate salespeople for the book. Lol!
I can't thank you enough for this. Your description of the Starborn resonates strongly for me, right down to having put aside all my dreams for someone else's (I re-righted myself, thank heaven). Where can I read more about the Starborn? And, interestingly, I had asked a friend about this deck a while back, so I think it's calling to me.
I have a challenging chart: Pisces Sun conjunct Saturn and Chiron; Cancer Rising; Scorpio Moon, Neptune, and South Node; Pluto and Uranus conjunct in Virgo opposing that Sun conjunction. At times, I feel discouraged by the task set before me in this lifetime. I know I was born under this arrangement of stars for a reason. I know I have big karmic work to do, and I've been doing it, as best I can. Chiron and Pluto have played their roles in unearthing the shadow and wounding and offering me healing, and I'm endeavoring to transform my relationship with Saturn to see him as an asset, rather than the force that has held me back from my potential greatness.
"Shining Star" is one of my all-time favorite songs. I often listen to it when I need to be reminded of all I have to offer. But really, my problem isn't acknowledging my light but figuring out how to shine it in a way that serves others and also supports me as a livelihood (Taurus NN calling!). I feel as if I'm in a holding pattern, my ideas forever incubating, never ready to be launched.
Also, one of my friends in a comment above reminded me about a great book called The Invisible Garment by Connie Kaplan that really helped me clarify my purpose and put it into practical terms. And I realize I didn't answer your question about where to find more info on the Starborn. As far as I can tell, it's one that's unique to Kim Krans' deck. If you do get the deck, I encourage you to read the guidebook, it's really insightful. I so appreciate her wisdom.
I know of that book. It's been in my Amazon cart for a million years! I keep looking for it in stores so I can actually look through it and decide if I want to read it, but I never see it anywhere. Maybe this is the voice of spirit telling me to get the dang book!
I SO get this, Gillian! In fact, I was a little frustrated with not getting more practical guidance for this pairing. I kept asking my guides, "Okay, but HOW do I shine in order to provide for myself as well as others?" I wanted a clear road map, I suppose. They only told me that, in this case, it's not about looking several steps ahead, but instead how do I want to shine right now in this moment. I guess that's helpful. Lol.
As the Rolling Stones so aptly put it, "You can't always get what you want, but if you try, sometimes you'll find you get what you need." And I would correct that and say we ALWAYS get what we need, but we might not want it in the moment!
What a powerful combo Jenna! Starborn, this inner calling and alignment that keeps us close to our true north, our purpose. Then the KofP that is a master within the physical. What a magnificent manifestation. Bringing the starborn light of motivation, meaning, directionality, true being and then grounding it into form. The KofP then abundantly giving this information to those around him. Being an example of living from one's sacred purpose.
I track cards by the month, this month so far I have had the KofP three times. In my Ostara reading he came in the position of light, my inner flame. After reading this post this has brought new meaning to me! The KofP living from deep purpose, bring that out into a lived experience.
Wow, three times for the KofP?! That definitely feels significant! I see all kinds of clarity coming to you through him. And how exciting that he is your inner flame for your Ostara reading. You will be lit up by providing your passions (in written form?) to your community. I'm so excited to be one of the recipients of that. 🤗❤️
One of my mottos in life is “be so completely yourself that others feel safe to be themselves too”
And I feel like the King of Pentacles embodies this safe, grounded, self-assure energy so well (it’s also already come up for me this week!) and weaving it in with the Starborn to be an example and guiding others feels so wonderful.
This is one of my favourite pulls of yours for sure 🤩
Thank you, Kerry! 🤗❤️ I commented below on how much your reflections help me embrace my own specialness. And when we can do that, we really do help everyone else do it too. It's a profound, positive feedback cycle. Cheers to shining bright!
Jenna, I am SHOOK! The way that this aligns with my Ostara tarot reading is genuinely uncanny 🫨 universe sending some clear messages here. I was just journaling the other day asking myself “what lights me up with a sense of purpose?”. Such a powerful connection, love it!
Oooooh...what other cards came up in your Ostara reading? 💕✨ This message came at such a perfect time for me too. I've been needing to ask myself what lights me up, what helps me fulfill a sense of purpose, and, maybe just as importantly, what doesn't...what can I release? I'm pretty sure my inner longing doesn't involve running myself ragged out of a sense of obligation.
I’ve been holding “sunstruck” close since a tarot pull led me to this section in “Seventy Eight Degrees of Wisdom” by Rachel Pollack:
“In its journey across the world the Sun sees everything, and so represents knowledge. Gods associated with the Sun, like Apollo, are said to know everything that happens. The sunstruck person feels a sense of wisdom, of seeing everything with total clarity. He or she is ‘lucid’, a word which means clear and direct, but which literally means ‘filled with light’.”
And now I will be holding starborn close as well. I added it to my Instagram bio - starborn and sunstruck
Very happy to respond to the calling to share this bounty and abundance with others.
❤️❤️❤️ Starborn and Sunstruck...OMG I LOVE this! What a perfect combination. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. Starborn and Sunstruck, I'm just going to keep repeating that to myself. Something about it is making something come alive within me. Also, that description from the Rachel Pollack book reminds so much of the Sumerian god Utu. (Here's a good overview if you're curious: https://oracc.museum.upenn.edu/amgg/listofdeities/utu/index.html ) Utu has been coming up for me a lot lately.
This is so beautiful, ‘starborn and sunstruck’ wow ✨☀️
I also feel this so deeply for myself and it’s an odd sensation. I’ve felt it since I was a child but of course my adult mind has tried to convince me I’m not special. Tapping into that childlike wonder of the stars has helped me realign with that knowing that I AM SPECIAL and the universe knows it!
Yes! This is wonderful, Kerry! In the enneagram, I'm a 4 wing 5. As I understand it, 4s are all about needing to be special, to feel significant and that we matter. My tendency has been to sort of look on that part of myself with shame. That I "shouldn't" need to feel special. I tell myself that it only serves to further ideas of hierarchy. But you are so right! "I AM SPECIAL and the universe knows it!" This gave me chills! The universe is constantly showing me things to prove that I am special...handing me gifts after gifts made just for me. Thank you, Kerry (and Starborn and King of Pentacles), you have really helped me shift my perspective in a big way. I'm going to embrace my desire to be special instead of push it away.❤️
This is the most beautiful reflection, thank you so much for sharing it. We’re of course told and conditioned to believe we aren’t special so it’s no wonder we feel shame and the need to disregard and push away this feeling. And, rather ironically, it’s usually the really special ones that feel this the most!

Let our inner light shine. I’m all in! And seriously, can we? We are, we humans, as afraid of our inner light as our inner dark.
