I'm a narcoleptic and this is a symptom of narcolepsy called hypnogogic hallucations! I'm so glad to have found this post because I've experienced this space between since I was a child, never hearing of others experiencing it. It's akin to flashes of information, visuals, etc.I get on psychedelics. It's incredible! I have always felt it must be connected to a spiritual side of things and that it is a special power I have to be able to induce it, like you choose to, due to my narcolepsy!

My husband knows I experience these, because sometimes they manifest more in the room with me than I could ever explain! Just for a few moments, like you said before I fall asleep.

Thanks for the great read! ☺️

Wow, that's fascinating, Nana! Thank you for sharing your experience! I'm so intrigued by what your husband must be witnessing when you have these experiences. Now I'm going to ask my husband if he's ever noticed anything. ❤️🤗

Honestly Jenna, your dedication to learning your (witch) craft is just so inspiring. I learn something new every single time and it's so wonderful knowing how you do this. I haven't done this in the process of going to sleep, so I might just give that a try. Once I'm asleep I know I am often going places that I am sometimes aware of, but not always! Your course sounds amazing by the way. 💖🙏

Love it! I go to a similar place when I’m giving or receiving Reiki. Hence, I call it the Reiki zone. I’ve been working with that before sleep liminal space for some time, but haven’t had much success- just occasional glimpses. I feel inspired to keep trying, though, so thank you!

Fascinating - I've been noticing it more in my meditations and especially taking siestas (more than bedtime.) But still a far cry from intentionally expanding it and meeting guides. Something to aim for. 💜

Siestas are the best! I used to make time for naps every day, but have gotten away from that over the last year (coincidence that I've been writing on Substack for almost a year?). I believe this is a practice I will return to. Starting today! Thanks Troy! 🤗💕

Hypnagogic? This is the second post I've just read where I've been led to reflect on my own experiences in that space and how they spill into (for want of a better expression) my magical life :-)

Well, Gabriel, you just rocked my entire world! 🤗 I had to google hypnagogic, but it seems to describe exactly my experience. And now that I'm typing this, I think maybe I do remember reading that word in some of Robert Moss's books before, but I'd forgotten it. Thank you so much for this!

Congratulations on this gorgeous offering Jenna. Your website is amazing and the course sounds excellent. Unfortunately I am unable to participate right now because I'm already enrolled in another program but if you offer it again I am very interested.

Beautiful. Would this be like the state of being under hypnosis (not the “stage show” hypnosis)? I recall being in this space when I did my sessions.

Oooh, maybe! I did a hypnosis regression years ago and I think maybe it was a similar sort of thing. One difference might be that the hypnosis session I did was guided whereas STAR for me, at least initially, was more like hanging on for the ride of whatever comes.

Yes, I definitely see that. I don’t think they are exactly the same, but yes the guided part is the difference. If I could hop into the space while awake, wow! Life goals!

I love this, so much magic in this process and in your words. I absolutely relate to the space you are talking about and this has inspired me to pay more attention to this dimension that feels both real and otherworldly. Thank you! xx

STAR, I love this, Jenna! I am so glad you wrote about it. I know it really moved me when we were talking about it. There is something incredibly magical about that liminal space between being awake and asleep. Where the conscious mind is not fully active, but just enough to perceive. And the subconscious, dream state, astral world and other dimensions are accessible. You have inspired me to pay more attention to this space. I am already doing dream work and have been in a dream group for over a year. So this makes sense as the next step!

Oooh, yes, once again you’ve nailed it! The conscious mind is active just enough to perceive. That’s the key right there. Thank you!
