That’s a really beautiful ritual Jenna… a far cry from my frantic gathering before the sheep get there first!
But this year the fruit is very late and the sheep are elsewhere so I will endeavor to adopt a slower more spiritual pace, with thanks for the abundance, remembering also that the wild animals need their share too..
What a wonderful ritual Jenna! This sacred reciprocity of receiving the first harvest while also giving back to the ground. Beautiful! And thank you so much for the mention in your post. Blessed Lughnasadh to you and yours. May your Sabbat/Celebration be filled with the abundance of this time!
I agree. I love the reciprocity. When I make a flower essence I sprinkle the extra water and petals around the base of an old grandmother tree at my home. There are so many little simple ways to say thank you. 🙏
As you step into Lughnasadh we step into Imbolc...a cross over time. A sacred time. For me the wattle is blooming and the days while still so cold invite a call to enjoy the final month of Winter as the tiny signs of hope arise for Spring. Many magical blessings to you dear one. 🍁🌸🍃🌱
Happy Imbolc, Sam! ❤️🤗❤️ I feel like it was so recent when we visited and I got to see the sun coming up from your kitchen window. But that must've been seasons ago! Sometimes time is quite slippery like that for me. These sabbats are such a wonderful way for me to reconnect with Time in a tangible, mindful, heartful way.
Time! It is so real and yet as you say slippery. I would be lovely to share Time again with you and maybe share what it looks like outside my window as the seasons change...Much love 🍃🍁🍃
I love this ritual and wish I’d read it before right going to bed 😂 today has felt a lot like gathering in a first harvest for me, lots of projects manifesting out self-growth worth that I’ve been sowing all year. It feels really lovely, and I can also recognize the pull to get caught up in the frenzy which I know isn’t needed right now. I’m looking forward to slowly embracing the last of summer and seeing what gifts continue to arrive.
Ooooh, I love your wisdom here! Let's not get caught up in the frenzy even when our work is about ready to harvest. We can harvest slowly and mindfully, right? I really love this! Thanks, Kerani! ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful, thank you for sharing this ritual. I hope I will get around to making some bread in the next few days. We had thunder this evening which felt like a reminder of change in the air xx
Oh, Lyndsay, the image of cozy-ing up inside with some freshly baked bread while a thunderstorm rolls in sound like a bit of heaven to me! Life goals for sure. I think I'll do a little ritual to call in some rain and see if I can make this happen. 🤗❤️

Thank you for showing me the way 🙏🏽💛xxx
Susie! 🤗❤️🤗 I think of you and your sheep and your hill often. Sending you big hugs!

Thank you so much, Liz! 🤗💖 I feel exactly the same about you!

Me too. I feel like I have been rushing to cram things in. I want to slow down, go swimming and read a book in a rocking chair. ❤️

Oh it does when you put it like that! Hope your rain ritual is successful xx
So beautiful!
Thank you, Alicia! ❤️
Time flies. I lost track of time too. Thank you for the reminder and lovely ritual. 🙏
Oh my gosh, same! I'm sitting here having trouble believing it's Sunday morning already. 🤗
Thank you. I'm so out of touch with it at the moment mainly as I'm packing for a huge camping trip which will bring me back to nature.
Yay! I'm so glad you're headed out camping. That sounds amazing. Have the best time ever!
