Oh Jenna, this is beautiful.

When I began to read it, I thought of an Anam Cara... (Irish for Soul Friend) A friend who touches your soul in such a way that their presence in your life is one of the most exquisite treasures you will ever receive.

This is what I felt when I read your Companion...someone who feeds your soul with nourishment.

I also very much love your reminder that we are our greatest companion...that to be our own best friend is so important and so vital.

Thank you.

Jenna, I marvel at your hermeneutics! I wondered how you would weave these two together. Brilliance.

This is how I read what you offer: terrestrial>>enfoldment>>befriending / companion to self; celestial>>radiating>>friend / companion to an Other.

I so appreciate your reflections on the companion. There is a sacredness to sharing in the mundane. I’ve appreciated since returning home a sense of companionship with loved ones nearby—family, close friends—taking walks together, preparing and sharing a meal.

Thank you for this. You’ve expanded my experience of companionship.

Adore these insights, especially the Sam/Frodo reference 🥰

Thanks, Kerani! I ❤️ Samwise. I recently saw a meme that said something like "You know you've reached emotional maturity when you think Samwise is the hot one." Lol.

Omg I love that 😂I saw a tiktok video once that went over the natural progression of having a crush on Legolas to Aragorn to Sam, it was hilarious

Well first of all, you can never go wrong with a reference to Frodo and Sam in my book. ;) But second, wow, this is so on the nose with my soft launch of Qstack this week - giving back, forming a fellowship/companionship of the queer folks on Substack, and for me, already having a lot of people reaching out to me and asking how they can help, that they are so excited about the effort.

Are you going through these cards in order, or are you doing a pull from each deck for the week? Thanks Jenna! Always a pleasure to have the insights you provide.

Qstack is absolutely incredible! It brings tears of joy to my eyes to see it come into existence. You've done something truly beautiful there, Troy. ❤️

As far as my method here goes, I pull a card from each deck for the week. BUT for the archetypes, I remove the ones that I've already written a post about, then shuffle and draw from the remainder. I've done this as a personal practice for myself for many years and know that the same archetype card can come up again and again (the universe seems to enjoy emphasizing things until I get it right 😁). Wanting to avoid that redundancy for everyone else, I decided to do it this way. Once I work through the whole deck, I'll start the process over. I'm also now occasionally incorporating a second deck (Kim Krans), which has very different archetypes. Thank you for asking about that! 🤗

There's an invisible thread connecting me to your decks, they always seem like they're talking to me. :) Thank you my dear! 🩷💜❤️

What a sweet combo this time. Sam as the companion, perfect! I also loved what you shared about the types of gravitation, giving and receiving. I had not heard of this before, something for me to contemplate. When I think of the Hanged One I see new perspectives. In this combo, it is my friends and loved ones that share different ways of seeing things for me to consider. Expanding my horizons. And me doing the same for them. Supporting each others growth!

Supporting each other's growth, I love that! I see a flow of perspective both radiating and enfolding between me and my loved ones. That's so beautiful. In case I haven't said this before, thank you for always adding such a beautiful layer of interpretation to these posts. Every week I look forward to Julie's insights. You really enrich this experience for me.❤️

I feel this could’ve easily come up around Valentine’s Day but that, of course, would’ve been too obvious and we clearly needed some grittier stuff then 😅

So this feels like a welcome relief and I love the perspective shift (excuse the irony) around the Hanged Man, that is such a beautiful way to look at it.

Lately I’ve been very much directing my energy inwards to myself but, when I receive precious spare time, I do have a tendency to isolate myself and withdraw. So this feels like an invitation to flip my energy and welcome people into it, rather than keeping it all for me.

😂 The week of Valentine's day was gritty, wasn't it?! I like this week much better. And I completely understand the pull to isolate when there's free time. I'm exactly the same way. I think sometimes we really do need that. Maybe in choosing that is when we are being own best friend? Or maybe it's just my ongoing justification for alone time. Like you, I'm going to try flipping my gravitation this week and see what happens.

Exactly the messages my soul wanted me to hear as I prepare for the upcoming week! Thank you for sharing! ❤️

As I recovered echoist I saw that I have too much of myself to those who took advantage of me and I did it because I was desperate for acceptance and approval. I only accept those in my life who will also give as any healthy relationship involves giving and receiving.

I hear you on this, Miriam! My boundary issues always stem from a need for approval (although then I can also get reactive and push people away, creating a whole new set of boundary issues 😁).

Very inspiring. There might actually be something that is both taking AND giving, an experience to be had in giving or radiating. Your text made me suddenly think of the way I meditate: by focusing on imploding to a centre, leaving the edges of my being light. The best image for this is a star — radiating…. But focusing yields that instant feeling of releasing tension. Apparently a paradox. Thank you for this Sunday evening reading :)

Wow, I love this, Zoe! Yes, I so agree...a something that is both taking and giving. Something that is a receiving in the giving, and a giving in the receiving. I love that insight, thank you! And I am going to try your meditation (if that's okay). It sounds incredible. For me, I always know the divine is present when I'm experiencing paradox, because the divine is always complete (a thing and its apparent opposite). Your meditation sounds like a wonderful practice for experiencing that firsthand. Thank you so much for sharing about it!
