I am in the high desert and surrounded my layers of mountains, meaning at certain times of the year, the closest range of mountains (it is very close) are desert, then behind it - partially snow covered range a bit higher, and behind that a fully snow covered range at the highest. It’s gorgeous. Quite a sight!
